Anchor Swivel Forerunner
The Swivel Forerunner, a core component on ships, is the primary rotating link, featuring five essential parts: End Link, Enlarged Link, Swivel Shackle, another Enlarged Link, and a Common Link. Its fixed structure along a chain’s length prevents twisting during anchor lifting. As the most prevalent swivel connector, it connects the anchor chain and end shackle, with an open anchoring side for the anchor shackle and a common link for a Kenter shackle. It’s compatible with grade 2 and grade 3 anchor chains, making it versatile and crucial in maritime operations.
